Get to Know POP

Welcome and thanks for checking out our website! Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is a small church with a BIG heart. We seek to share God’s love and our time and talents in service to our community. Our mission is to Know Christ, Live Christ, and Share Christ. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

We offer an in-person or online service on Sundays at 10a. Communion is available every week and all are welcome at the Lord’s table. Our Children’s Church (pre-k to 2nd grade) and Sunday School (3rd to 6th grade) takes place during our worship service. Our Adult Bible Study meets Thursday mornings. And there are a variety of Outreach and Fellowship opportunities to participate in during the year.

What are your services like?

When you join us on Sunday, you’ll experience a traditional Lutheran worship service, with traditional hymns and liturgy. You’ll hear the lessons of the day, a message from Pastor Craig, and receive communion. The service typically lasts one hour.

Where should I park?

We have an ample parking lot attached to our building with handicap spaces available near the front door.

Where should I go when I enter the building?

When you arrive at POP you will be greeted by our members, and escorted into our sanctuary for worship.

Do you provide childcare?

We do not staff our nursery but it is available to parents and their children during worship. We have a PA system so you can continue to listen to the service while you care for your child.

What should I wear?

We don’t have a dress code at POP. You should wear whatever you are comfortable in. Most of our members wear something in the range of business formal to business casual. But shorts and sandals are always welcome too.

What to Expect

We Look Forward To Meeting You!

Prince of Peace is a grace-filled, spirit-led faith community that welcomes everyone. To help you feel at home, we’ve put together some information that tries to anticipate some of the questions you may have prior to visiting us for the first time:

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Our current guidelines for in-person worship include:

- Masks are now OPTIONAL in church and during worship; masks are recommended for those at high-risk of exposure

- If you are sick, have symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who’s been diagnosed with COVID-19, please enjoy our church service online.   Learn more

- Bulletins, an offering plate, and pre-packaged communion sets are available at the back of the Sanctuary

- We continue to stream our Sunday service. Please join us on Facebook LIVE at 10am (You do not need a Facebook account to view our service, just an internet connection).   Facebook Live

Atmosphere

At POP, we are like a big family. Our services are laid back, and there’s a lot of laughter along with worship and prayer. We try not to take ourselves too seriously; mistakes happen and technology fails but grace prevails! We feel that’s the beauty of a small, authentic church.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you’re welcome at Prince of Peace and we’re excited for you to consider being a part of our church family. Children can sit with you during worship and be themselves – we know they don’t always sit still and use their church voices! We also offer Children’s Church (pre-k to 2nd grade) and Sunday School (3rd to 6th grade) during our service. The children leave during the sermon and return for communion.

Pastor's Message

Pastor Tim’s primary focus is on scripture in his preaching and teaching and he demonstrates how it relates to us today.
