The Dexter McClure Memorial Pork Extravaganza was held on Sat. August 3, 2019 under our big tent and was attended by approximately 80 members, families and friends for an evening of great fellowship, food and fun! It was a hot evening but a slight breeze helped cool things off. Many thanks to Dean Battaglia, our Grill Master, who made the delicious pulled pork, ribs and Italian sausage. After Pastor Tim said the prayer, we all enjoyed the numerous salads, sides and desserts, enough to satisfy everyone’s appetites! After the feast Judy McClure presented Dean with a Pork Extravaganza Pig Mascot. The drawing for the beautiful “Pig-nic” basket, put together by Chris Ewert, came next, which was won by Connie Husby. The “Seed Money” we received from Thrivent helped pay for our supplies for this Pork Extravaganza and the very generous free-will donations or $773.00 will be used to update the ladies’ restroom.
A BIG THANK YOU to the A-Men and Fellowship Committee members and all who helped organize this event and also to all those who helped with the clean up afterward. Also it was good to see the beautiful banner the Thursday Bible Study Group had specially made last year for this event which was displayed in front of P.O.P. for all to see. Thank you everybody! See you next year for our next Extravaganza!
